Sales Executive – NY Metro

Summary of this role:

In this role you’ll serve as a key member of sales team for and partner with Head of Sales (and other Centivo leaders – CEO, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Product Officer, etc.) on positioning our new health plan solution for the middle market to brokers and employers in the healthcare benefits space.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Become an expert with Centivo’s product offerings
  • Become an expert in self-funded health insurance plans
  • Educate the market (brokers and employers) on Centivo’s solution through webinars, cold calls, seminars, and other approaches
  • Aggressively cultivate and develop a pipeline of prospective opportunities of brokerage firms and employers and manage the sales funnel through closing
  • Actively seek new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking and social media
  • Build relationships with firm partners, owners, producers, CEOs, CFOs, and Human Resource Managers
  • Prepare, send and present proposals, pricing and product solutions
  • Maintain and update opportunities in CRM system (Salesforce.com)
  • Achieve aggressive sales targets for new business
  • Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalency in experience)
  • Minimum of 5 years in a direct sales role with quota responsibility
  • Minimum of 3 years of Insurance experience (ie. broker, group rep, other)
  • A history of using and presenting technology-based solutions
  • An ability to develop strong longer-term relationships with partners
  • Ability to flourish in a fluid, evolving growth-oriented company
  • Salesforce.com experience preferred
  • Proficient in the use of computer programs and software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point as well as the ability to quickly learn various software applications
  • Authorized to work in the US
