Director, People Operations

Centivo is looking for a People Operations Director to support our employees and partner with our leaders through exciting growth.  In this role you’ll lead our talent recruitment efforts and build out our People Ops programs, systems, policies, and operational infrastructure. You’ll advocate for the incredible talent in our organization while serving as a strategic advisor to our leadership team.  This position is based in our Buffalo, NY office with periodic travel to NYC.  Remote workers will not be considered for this opportunity.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a strategic partner to business managers in areas of human resources including but not limited to: Talent acquisition, onboarding, talent management, benefits, training, performance management, and employee retention.

  • Design and execute our compensation strategy and ensure continuous fair and consistent measurement and reward performance.

  • Administer employee benefits programs.

  • Answers general HR questions and resolves issues in a timely manner.

  • Work in conjunction with different departments to develop, implement and deliver corporate training initiatives.

  • Oversee payroll process for full-time and hourly staff in partnership with our VP of F&A.

  • Own all HR compliance documentation, reporting, and research, ensuring we’re on top of all state and federal employment requirements.

  • Measure and monitor workplace satisfaction, employee retention, diversity, internal communication health, and other relevant People Ops KPIs.

  • Build and improve upon company culture, ensuring that company values are clear and embodied into business practices.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Characteristics:

  • Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in Human Resources/People Operations role.

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field required.

  • Experience in a high-growth startup is strongly preferred.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.

  • Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality in interpersonal interaction.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills utilizing a data-driven approach.
