You’ve got questions, and we have answers
Centivo clients range from smaller employers with more than 50 employees to many of the Fortune 500.
Centivo only serves employers who are self-funded or level funded. In many instances, clients turn to us to gain better control over their costs and data, while avoiding the significant rate increases they continue to see on their fully insured plans.
Yes! In fact, Centivo Care is one of the first to receive Patient-Centered Medical Home Recognition by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). Our practice is fully embedded into the Centivo Network for truly coordinated care between virtual and in-person care. It can also be added to traditional plans administered by Centivo for more accessible coverage.
Look across four dimensions: network design (are providers directly contracted or rented from a third-party network?), plan design (does primary care have a structural role, or is it just a feature?), financial protection (how is stop-loss coordinated, and who manages that relationship?), and member experience (what does day-to-day look like for employees?). Centivo is built to answer all four, and we provide market-specific performance data to support your evaluation process.
We provide market-specific case studies, plan performance data, and member experience metrics. Clients consistently show reduced ER utilization and inpatient admissions compared to benchmarks, and meaningful total cost of care savings versus the plans we replaced. We also offer broker-specific resources including implementation timelines, network maps, and side-by-side comparisons for your RFP process.
Every client transition gets a dedicated implementation team covering network access setup, member communications, claims infrastructure, and benefits administration coordination. Post-launch, your clients have a dedicated account team, member support resources, and ongoing plan performance reporting. Brokers stay in the loop throughout.
Self-funding works best for employers with stable cash flow, a consistent employee count, and a willingness to engage in plan design decisions. It is generally not the right fit for employers with fewer than 50 employees, those with significant cash flow variability, or those looking for a fully hands-off benefits experience. If a client does not meet these criteria, we will tell you – and help you identify the right path for them.
Most implementations take 60-90 days from contract to go-live, depending on employer size and complexity. The process is designed to align with standard renewal cycles and minimize disruption for HR teams and employees. Our implementation team manages coordination, and brokers are kept informed at every stage.
Centivo believes the key to lowering health costs isn’t less care. It’s the right care. Ready to rethink the way health plans are delivered?
