Centivo has reimagined and rebuilt three core elements of a health plan that influence cost including:
- High-quality network. Centivo builds its own network of hospitals and providers so employees can access quality care focused on their health and wellbeing. And because our partners are dedicated to value-based care models that put primary care at the center, members engage more with preventive measures, typically saving money but, more importantly, seeing improved health outcomes.
- Unit cost savings. Because Centivo partners with health systems with aligned interests, we can negotiate favorable rates, typically well below many of the local and national carriers.
- Plan designs built to be used. We want patients to get the right care at the right time, with prevention at the core. So we make primary care visits free – not just checkups, but ALL primary care – even virtual. And we’ve completely eliminated the deductible, while assigning predictable copays for our plan options to allow our members to access the care they need with no surprises.
We are pleased to be able to offer traditional plan options using a national network, which gives our members access to over one million providers across the country. Additionally, any of our members have access to emergency and urgent care nationwide if needed.
- Smart plan design. A plan design with features such as no deductibles and free primary care can ease some of the financial barriers that affect low-income families, many of whom are racial or ethnic minorities.
- Primary care coordination. Navigating the healthcare system is incredibly complex, especially for those who are disadvantaged or disenfranchised, which means community health suffers, costs increase and the divide widens. Having a primary care doctor to know and trust can make care more accessible and increase engagement with proper preventive care.
- Virtual care access. Virtual care offers promise in terms of closing inequity gaps and increasing access to underserved communities, especially for primary care. It removes travel and time-off limitations and opens up access to providers who share culture and traditions regardless of zip code.
