Partnership Expands Centivo’s Local Provider Network and Adds New Primary Care and Specialty Services in the State of Wisconsin
Buffalo, N.Y. – August 15, 2023 – Centivo, a new type of health plan for self-funded employers that’s anchored around leading providers of value-based care, announced today it has expanded its provider network in Wisconsin with the addition of Door County Medical Center (DCMC). This new collaboration will bring comprehensive, high-quality, affordable healthcare to more Wisconsin businesses and their employees in the Door and Kewaunee markets via its exclusive High-Performance Health Plan offering with The Business Health Care Group of Wisconsin (“BHCG”).
For more than 75 years, DCMC has been a leader in health and wellness for Door and Kewaunee counties and a highly trusted primary care provider throughout the community. This track record makes DCMC an exceptional partner for Centivo, which encourages members to engage with high-value providers who put primary care at the center of their offerings. In Wisconsin, Centivo’s value-based model has delivered an average 23 to 36 percent total cost of care savings to participating employers, compared to traditional insurance carriers.
“We’re pleased to be partnering with Centivo, whose dedication to affordable, high-quality care is at the core of what we deliver,” said Brian Stephens, CEO of DCMC. “By expanding our reach to even more local businesses and their employees, we can reinforce our commitment to the community and continue to improve the health and well-being of those we serve.”
In addition to primary care, DCMC’s fully integrated medical center includes the Women’s and Children’s Center, the Door Orthopedic Center, Behavioral Health and General Surgery Centers, the Door County Cancer Center, a skilled nursing facility and rehabilitation services facilities, among others. Its main campus is in Sturgeon Bay with satellite clinics and rehabilitation services facilities in the area.
“The cost of healthcare in Wisconsin is unsustainable. But for our coalition members, it’s imperative to offer plans focused on exceptional care delivery and outcomes,” said Jeff Kluever, Executive Director of BHCG. “Partnering with DCMC allows us to not only expand our reach to Door and Kewaunee markets, but also to support our members’ pledge towards quality, cost-effective care.”
